Day One Thursday 26 January - Josh Bailey (Google)

 - Software Defined Networking, OpenFlow, and how to make an OpenFlow Router

Per openflow.org, OpenFlow enables networks to evolve, by giving a remote controller the power to modify the behavior of network devices, through a well-defined "forwarding instruction set". The growing OpenFlow ecosystem now includes routers, switches, virtual switches, and access points from a range of vendors. Presentation will be on the current state of SDN, possible future directions, and a working OpenFlow-based router as a simple case study.
