As Chief Technical Officer at Weta Digital he was the principal architect of the IT infrastructure used to create the Academy Award® winning digital visual effects for The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Jon recently departed Weta to found a startup company focused on the wireless gaming space. As such most of his recent life has been spent trying to understand this potentially lucrative and fairly chaotic market. He'll give his impressions of some of the current business and technical issues facing both the small mobile game developer, and the market as a whole. |
